Dressed To Glow is, first and foremost, an appointment-based boutique. Most gowns are chosen during a private in-store styling appointment and then specially ordered or made to order in the customer's chosen size, colour and style. This page explains how that works, so you know exactly what to expect.
How Ordering Works
The vast majority of our prom and occasion gowns are ordered following an in-store appointment and fitting. During your appointment you'll explore the collection, try your favourites in your private styling suite, and — once you find the one — your chosen gown is ordered specifically for you. We'll always confirm the details and timescales clearly before anything is ordered.
In-Store Purchases
Where a style is available in stock and in your size, it may be possible to purchase it in store and take it home the same day. Our team will always let you know during your appointment if this is an option for the dress you love. Most gowns, however, are ordered or made to order especially for you — which is what gives you the widest possible choice of styles, colours and sizes.
Special Orders
If you love a style but need a different colour or size, many dresses can be specially ordered with no premium added by Dressed To Glow — just standard designer pricing. Special ordering gives you access to far more colours and sizes than we could ever hold in store, and every special-order gown arrives brand new.
Made-to-Order Gowns
Most prom dresses and selected occasion wear are made to order specifically for you, rather than held as standard stock. Delivery times vary between designers and collections, and will always be discussed clearly before your order is confirmed. Because these gowns are produced specifically in your chosen size, colour and style, they are non-returnable unless faulty.
Accessories
We also stock a beautiful range of accessories to complete your look — from jewellery to the finishing touches that pull an outfit together. Accessories are available to purchase in store, and our team will happily help you style the perfect combination during your appointment.
Collection Process
When your gown arrives, we'll be in touch to arrange collection from our Ashton-in-Makerfield boutique. Collecting in store means you can see your gown properly, check everything is as expected, and ask any final questions before taking it home. Collection is free of charge.
Alterations Information
Most prom and occasion gowns benefit from alterations for the best possible fit — hems, straps, bust adjustments or shaping, depending on the style. Alterations are not included in the dress price and are not carried out by Dressed To Glow. We're happy to recommend experienced independent local seamstresses following your appointment; all alteration work and costs are arranged separately between you and the seamstress of your choice.
Reporting a Fault
If you have any concern about your gown, please contact the boutique as soon as possible at info@romancia.co.uk or by phone, with your order details and a description of the issue. Because our gowns come from leading designers, genuine manufacturing faults are handled directly with the designer.
Returns
Because many gowns are specially ordered, made to order, or purchased following an in-store appointment and fitting process, return eligibility may differ from standard online retail purchases.
If a customer has any concern regarding their gown, Dressed To Glow will always work with both the designer and the customer to resolve genuine manufacturing issues appropriately and fairly.
For any ready-to-wear items bought online (rather than ordered through an appointment), standard UK consumer rights apply. Please contact us first at info@romancia.co.uk and we'll guide you through the process.
Customer Support
If you have any questions before booking, before ordering, or after collecting your gown, we're always happy to help. The best way to reach us is by phone or email, or by popping into the boutique.
